Duke Nukem Forever is an action first-person shooter game developed by 3D Realms and Triptych Games. Duke Nukem Forever was finished by Gearbox Software and Games Piranha and was released on 2011 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is a sequel to the 1996 game Duke Nukem 3D, as part of a long series of Duke Nukem video game.
Intended to be groundbreaking, Duke Nukem Forever became a notable example of vaporware due to severe prolonged development program; The game was released in 2011, after fifteen years of growth. The game was a financial success, but received middling to negative critical reception.
